- ➤ West Glacier Elementary School lost its bus contract because insurance problems stopped Dalimata Transportation from getting the needed coverage before budget time, leaving about 10 families to drive their children to school. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Flathead County crews have collected over 11,320 pounds of trash along U.S. 93 this summer—working in two-person shifts and earning $20 per hour—with the cleanup season running from April 29 until Oct 3. - ➤ Columbia Falls Aluminum Company will start more testing at the Superfund site north of Columbia Falls this fall through December — part of early cleanup work as they work with the EPA and DEQ.
