The Montana Supreme Court denied a new trial for Bradley Jay Hillious—convicted in 2020 for killing his wife and sentenced to 100 years—after he claimed that jury selection errors and improper hearsay evidence violated his rights.

Longtime Flathead educator Tina Blair—a former West Valley Middle School principal and Peterson Elementary teacher—will become the new superintendent of Fair-Mont-Egan next fall following Brandy Carlenzoli's retirement.

Blair plans to continue key literacy and behavior programs while preparing the school for new state standards and maintaining its local, community-based focus.

Flathead County Election Department will hold school elections and special elections for fire districts on May 6, with mail-in ballots sent on April 18 to active registered voters.
