EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Northwest Montana Head Start in Kalispell has adjusted enrollment and raised staff wages by nearly 20% amid three years of flat funding and staffing shortages. - ➤ Flathead County school districts posted higher statewide proficiency in English language arts on the new MAST test for 2024-2025 while just over half met math benchmarks; local administrators caution that these results should be paired with other assessments plus targeted support measures. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State officials purchased a 53,000-acre conservation easement near the Thompson Chain of Lakes, community members placed over 1,300 wreaths on local veterans’ graves on Saturday, and the city council appointed Jarod Nygren as the new city manager. Daily Inter Lake
