- ➤ DREAM Adaptive Recreation received a $50,000 grant from Flathead Electric Cooperative to build a permanent educational space at Whitefish Mountain Resort; the center is set to open in spring 2027 and will offer free adaptive outdoor programs for active-duty service members and veterans (and others with disabilities). - ➤ Residents in Clark Fork remain affected by road closures and advised water precautions after historic flooding hit Thursday, causing Lightning Creek to overflow. - ➤ The proposed subdivision McDonald Estates, with 27 lots on 37.26 acres at Trumble Creek Road near Columbia Falls, may add 245 weekday trips and worsen traffic delays, residents told the planning board on Dec. 10.
