- ➤ The Flathead Avalanche Center launches daily avalanche forecasts starting this week at 7 a.m. using field reports, weather data, and public observations to help backcountry users stay safe amid widespread weekend snow — forecaster Cam Johnson says updates cover areas from Whitefish to Glacier National Park. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Providers at Logan Health filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board Thursday (Dec. 5) to unionize due to high patient loads and staffing shortages at several Flathead Valley clinics. Administrators also announced plans to hire 10 full-time support staff by Jan. 15, 2026. Flathead Beacon
- ➤ Nearly 60 primary care physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at Logan Health clinics in Northwest Montana filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board to unionize with the Union of American Physicians and Dentists.
