- ➤ Glacier Park International Airport announced Wednesday a Visitor Pass program that lets non-ticketed visitors pass TSA security for meeting arriving passengers, shopping, dining or enjoying the terminal’s new space; visitors can apply up to 7 days ahead and passes are limited on a first-come, first serve basis. - ➤ Kalispell is launching a free digital Canadian Welcome Pass this winter to offer discounts at hotels, restaurants, shops, and a museum at over a dozen locations + travelers can obtain the pass on the Discover Kalispell website to help boost winter bookings ahead of early 2026. MontanaRightNow
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A new study funded by the American Geophysical Union will examine dropping water levels in Crystal Lake's aquifer at the Thompson Chain of Lakes to help officials protect water supplies. - ➤ The Flathead County Board approved a preliminary plat Tuesday for the Tract 1 Shop Condos project on Somers Road. The 46-unit development includes eight condos, 18 live work residences and 28 commercial spaces on a hayfield, and planners expect traffic may require intersection upgrades + new stormwater and water systems.
