- ➤ Starting in the Thanksgiving edition, the Daily Inter Lake will feature nine wrapping paper designs created by Boys and Girls Club members over four weeks, with two designs each Thursday and three in the final issue that will also appear in Hungry Horse News and Whitefish Pilot. Seven-year-old Stella Bjorkman, who drew a rainbow heart, said she hoped her design would bring joy to readers—part of the club’s holiday celebration that gives local kids a chance to shine. - ➤ Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell is set for smooth flying this busy Thanksgiving week because officials say there is plenty of parking and staff ready to help amid lighter holiday traffic than in summer—a terminal expansion will ease travel next summer. Airport Director Rob Ratkowski advises travelers to arrive two hours early for enough time at security. KPAX

- ➤ Carol Martin was in a severe car wreck last September when her Cadillac Escalade hit a boulder after a quilting event in Bigfork, and three local high schoolers—Landen Lanier, James Raymond, and Rand Shanks—helped her by holding her hand and calling for help; she suffered broken legs, crushed ribs, and other serious injuries with more surgeries planned. - ➤ Flathead High School library got a new 25 ft square skylight installed early November to stop water leaks and bring in more natural light—paid for by a $160,000 district reserve fund and installed by Montana Metalworks. Librarian Aarica Phillips said the upgrade ended the need for buckets during rain and improved the space for students. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ Flathead Valley Community College’s Marketing Communications Department earned seven awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 7 for excellence in categories such as Annual Report, Postcard, Poster, Outdoor Signage, Novelty, Computer-Generated Illustration and Communication Success Story—demonstrating its commitment to student success. College President Jane Karas was named the 2025 Pacesetter of the Year for her leadership in advancing marketing efforts and community engagement. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ On Nov. 13, Flathead Electric Cooperative’s Roundup for Safety awarded $20,292 to support seven safety projects. West Glacier Elementary School received $6000 to upgrade doors and locks for better security — a project led by teacher Lindsay Kindred. Daily Inter Lake

- ➤ Montana Fish — Wildlife and Parks said the general deer and elk hunting season is in its final week as check stations in Northwest logged over 9,000 hunters with harvest rates similar to last year.
