- ➤ On Thursday, local business leaders walked through downtown Kalispell under thick fog—thanking merchants and filling out a brief survey as part of the new Downtown Forward Coalition led by the Chamber—to draft a four-phase blueprint for Main Street improvements. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Flathead County Planning Office referred Mule Shoe Outfitters to the county attorney for a zoning violation after a helicopter tour company flew tours from its West Glacier property this summer. County officials said the tours broke Middle Canyon zoning rules — no voluntary compliance has been received and the red helicopter is no longer on site as winter approaches. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ Investigators found that a plane crash in Kalispell was caused by the pilot — Flathead County Commissioners sent a letter to the Department of the Interior asking for help with Flathead Lake.
