🏛️ Government
Tuesday night, the Board of Adjustment tabled Bruce Tutvedt's permit application for a gravel pit on Farm to Market Road and sent it back to the West Valley Land Use Advisory Committee (with 256 pages of comments), and a meeting will review the project (citing pollution, traffic and safety concerns).
Kalispell board postponed a decision on a conditional use permit for a proposed gravel pit in West Valley and sent the case back to the advisory committee — local residents raised concerns about dust, noise, truck traffic and groundwater safety.
The advisory committee will meet next month to review the proposal.
🏥 Health
Flathead County got a $2.5 million grant from the federal government in September to expand its Crisis Assistance Team for 24/7 response.
The team will add full-time therapists, care coordinators & a nurse to support local mental health and emergency services.
