At a Flathead Valley Community College forum (Sept.
10), Save the Flathead Coalition discussed placing a $10 million open space bond on the 2028 ballot that would add 74 cents per $100,000 to property taxes (the measure funds projects to conserve farms, forests, and parks).

WinCo Foods has submitted remodel plans for the former Costco building in north Kalispell, and the project is under permit review; this will mark the chain's fourth Montana location, joining sites in Missoula, Helena, Bozeman & Billings.
