- ➤ Sophia Maria Owen, 41, was given suspended jail sentences for assault and mischief after she attacked her husband during a home invasion on Airport Road on May 19 with an ax—she pleaded guilty in September and was ordered to pay fines and complete anger management. Daily Inter Lake

- ➤ Logan Health is accepting applications for its Healthy Classroom Grant program that gives $500 to schools for health and safety projects. Applications opened on Aug. 15 and are due by Sept. 26 + winners will be announced in October. Flathead Beacon
