ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 17-year-old Bigfork girl died in a single-vehicle crash in Whitefish around 1:50 a.m. Saturday when a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 20-year-old Marion man drifted off Mountain Meadow Road and hit trees—alcohol was suspected and another 17-year-old Kalispell passenger was taken to Logan Health Medical Center. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The newly opened Kalispell Aviation Hall at the airport gives nearly 50 local chapter members a permanent space to hold monthly meetings and offer pilot courses with the national Young Eagles program — built with a $60,000 grant and community support. Brent Battles led the project and will use the hall to introduce youth to flying and life skills in aviation. Daily Inter Lake
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Volunteers cleared trails and removed fallen trees in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex as part of a summer project run by the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation and the Forest Service.
