- ➤ Baldemar Duarte-Nieto, an accused drug dealer arrested after a high-speed chase in Kalispell, pleaded guilty to felony criminal endangerment last week in Flathead County District Court — he faces a suspended sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $50,000 with sentencing set for September 25. - ➤ Residents in Lakeside gathered Thursday night at the Lakeside QRU to learn about a sewer expansion project that will use wastewater injection into surface sands—experts warn this could let water reach Flathead Lake quickly. - ➤ The Flathead County Board of Commissioners approved placing a $105M bond measure on the November 4 ballot to fund a new Public Safety Facility in Kalispell. The new facility at 225 Snowline Lane will house the county jail and sheriff's office—replacing the aging 1987 building. KPAX
- ➤ Kalispell city invites residents to review its Growth Policy Plan-It-2035 land use draft at the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo, which is in its public comment period this summer.
