- ➤ A limited number of discounted Pay-One-Price tickets for the carnival at the 2025 Northwest Montana Fair & Rodeo are on sale now at Whitefish Credit Union branches and the fairgrounds office, and each ticket costs $30 to be exchanged for a wristband valid for unlimited rides from Aug. 12. Advance fair admission tickets are available until Aug. 15 at branches in Kalispell, Columbia Falls & Whitefish to save on the separate entry fee. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks opened a new fishing access site near Sportsman’s Bridge in Bigfork today that features 1,000 feet of Flathead River shoreline, a concrete boat ramp, and ample parking after relocating from its former east bank location, and construction on the bridge will begin this week. Crews will widen the road near the Conclow Fishing Access Site near Dayton from Monday through Saturday during August to add a left-hand turn lane as work on that site is set to start in fall — drivers may see slight delays. - ➤ Flower shop Forage and Floral has brought color to the Flathead Valley since October 2020 and now has a shop at 4 First St., Ste. 100 in downtown Kalispell. Owner Savannah Gentry said the business expanded by buying a local shop—Flower Child—and will open a renovated location on Nucleus Avenue in Columbia Falls in September or October. Daily Inter Lake

- ➤ A group of pilots filed a lawsuit against TAL — PGL, LLC to stop plans to remove the private airstrip near Lakeside as part of a project to build a luxury resort with amenities such as a golf course and spa. Six local property owners, who bought homes in Eagle’s Crest expecting airstrip access, claim the runway was a key feature and a pre-trial conference is set for Jan. 21. Daily Inter Lake
