DREAM Adaptive hosts a water sports week that gives people with disabilities and their families a chance to paddleboard, kayak, or water ski in Western Montana — the program breaks down barriers to outdoor access.

Flathead Valley schools are facing budget cuts after a federal freeze paused about $26 million in funds for programs serving migrant students, English learners, and teacher training—Kalispell Public Schools reported a potential shortfall of about $500,000 and will adjust its budget in August if the funds remain on pause.

Flathead Electric Cooperative is drafting a wildfire prevention plan and is asking residents to give feedback+ the public comment period runs from July 24 through September 6 and a meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 19 at the Co-op community room.
