- ➤ The North Fork Road lower section from Glacier Rim to Camas Road was treated earlier this month+ Flathead County awaits a signed contract and Forest Service approval before treating the stretch from Camas to Coal Creek this summer. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ Kalispell City Council heard from opponents of the Reserve at Johnson Ranch high-density subdivision Monday who said two-lane roads near Owl View Landing cannot handle more traffic—residents worry accidents may increase near Glacier High School and busy routes. The 92-acre project will include 186 single-family lots and two multi-family projects with up to 237 and 70 units, with the first phase planned for fall and a council vote set for Aug.4. - ➤ The Montana Department of Transportation announced it will replace Sportsman’s Bridge northwest of Bigfork in early August with a new structure that has two 12 foot travel lanes and two 10 foot shoulders — the project will also add turn lanes and hold an open house on August 5 at Bigfork High School from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Flathead Beacon
