- ➤ Search teams continue this summer looking for West Glacier resident Emily Rea, who disappeared last July during a paddleboard trip on Hungry Horse Reservoir after her vehicle was found at Riverside Boat Launch on July 17 and her paddleboard was discovered upside down in Flossy Creek more than 2 miles west of the launch — prompting her family to hire a private investigator amid concerns of possible foul play. - ➤ A Columbia Falls man, Jonathan Harley Glode, accused of threatening his ex-partner and her spouse after alleging child abuse, had his felony intimidation charge dismissed on November 26 — prosecutors dropped the case with no objections from his attorney. Daily Inter Lake

- ➤ State wildlife officials plan to change wolf hunting rules—raising the quota from 334 to 500 and bag limits to 15 wolves per license for the 2025–26 season—and the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will vote on the proposal on Aug. 21 with public comments accepted until Aug. 4.
