- ➤ Kalispell city officials have held community events since spring to gather public input on a new land use plan that will guide development for the next 20 years as required by state law passed in 2023. The draft—featuring options to reduce parking spaces and support tiny homes—will be refined with public comments before it is presented to the city council and finalized by May 2026. Flathead Beacon
- ➤ Jefferson Lines started a new bus route connecting Whitefish with Missoula, Butte, Bozeman, Livingston, Big Timber and Billings after Flathead Transit ended its Whitefish–Missoula service in June. The service runs Friday through Monday — leaving Whitefish at 8:30 a.m. and arriving in Billings at 6:20 p.m. — and officials said they plan to add daily trips in the future. Daily Inter Lake
