Diane Medler retired today after nearly 16 years leading Discover Kalispell; Kalispell Chamber President Lorraine Clarno will take over the tourism bureau while Medler plans to stay active on the Conrad Mansion Board and continue volunteering locally.

State wildlife officials are asking for public comment on a 1,131-acre conservation easement near Herron Park – a project that protects trails and wildlife habitat.

Comments will be accepted through July 4.

Heavy rain has shut down the alpine section of Going-to-the-Sun Road and local campgrounds in Many Glacier Valley as flooding continues to pose risks.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch with additional rainfall & rising river levels expected this evening.

Glacier Park International Airport will limit flights from July 6 to July 31 for runway repairs during peak travel times, with closures on Mondays at 6 p.m. through Fridays at 10 a.m. The airport advises travelers to arrive two hours early on open days.
