  • DREAM Adaptive Recreation has helped nearly 400 children, adults, and veterans with disabilities for 40 years and celebrated its legacy in Whitefish — marking decades of improved access to outdoor activities. Executive Director Julie Tickle said the group will raise $16 million to build a new year-round adaptive recreation center at Whitefish Mountain Resort to meet growing demand.  KPAX

  • On June 4, flagger Joseph Gove was severely injured when a 25-year-old driver sped into a work zone on Montana 35 in Bigfork and hit him—leaving Gove in intensive care while the investigation continues and the driver, known for past criminal offenses, was released on June 5.  Daily Inter Lake

  • Jamie and Sarah Rolfing reopened Great Northern Llama Company at their 500-acre ranch, offering guided llama treks five days a week with reservations required—visitors can choose morning tours to meet the animals or afternoon hikes to lead a llama on local trails.
