The Flathead Land Trust will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Saturday at 11 a.m. on the Kohrs property west of Whitefish, a site covering more than 650 acres of farmland and riparian habitat.

Jon Tester.
Flathead County commissioners approved a preliminary budget on Tuesday that sets fiscal 2026 spending at $140.2 million, including nearly $20.9 million for capital projects and a $10 million increase over last year.
