ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Interior approved Energy Keepers’ request Friday to adjust SKQ Dam flows to help raise Flathead Lake’s level this summer. The adjustment will lower flows from 12,700 cfs to 7,000 cfs—providing 46 days of lake access within 12 inches and 62 days within 18 inches of full pool—and will affect early summer fisheries and power generation until improvements in July and August. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Congressman Ryan Zinke asked the Interior Department to increase water releases from Hungry Horse Dam to help keep Flathead Lake’s summer water level from falling too low.
