- ➤ My Glacier Village is hosting a series of events for Older Americans Month with a focus on changing ideas about aging. Events include a stroke awareness lunch today at noon at Logan Health Glacier Conference Center (Christina Armstrong will explain stroke basics), a music show on May 21 at First Presbyterian Church, a coffee discussion on May 23 at Bigfork Art & Cultural Center, and home safety barbecues on May 28 in Columbia Falls and on June 4 in Evergreen. - ➤ Michael Ray Downing of Hungry Horse, once known as the 'cocaine fairy,' was arrested on May 6 for his role in a burglary ring linked to more than 15 cases of theft targeting seasonal homes and local businesses across Flathead County — two other suspects were also taken into custody as the investigation continues.
