- ➤ Kalispell Police responded to a mental health call at a Silverbrook Estates home on May 11 at 5:52 a.m. and discovered four people dead from apparent gunshot wounds while beginning a detailed investigation with officers stationed in the area — KPD Chief Jordan Venezio said there is no ongoing public threat. - ➤ Kalispell author Steve Brady was inspired by a Flathead Valley Community College course to write his debut novel, Downwind to Baja, which he self-published in March as an e-book and paperback.
