Good morning, Kalispell.
Texas developer SHOP Development plans to transform Kalispell Center Mall into an 18-hour destination with ideas for a music venue, restaurants, retail, breweries and a relocated library along the Parkline Trail—community interest is high and planning is in early stages.
The project, dubbed the Parkline District, may also include upgrades to a local hotel and redevelopment of the former Herberger’s space.
Kalispell voters passed a high school levy on May 6 that added nearly $3 million to Kalispell Public Schools by saving over 20 teaching positions (and more than 100 course offerings), which will help provide smaller classes and more work-based learning opportunities.
