- ➤ Luke Jones and Jared Mecham opened Big Sky Bricks on Main St. in downtown Kalispell to buy, sell and trade a wide range of Legos—offering a playroom and event space for community events. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. now and will extend its hours to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting May 4. Daily Inter Lake
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Deer Park School is asking voters to approve a $4 million bond to build a new facility that will replace its aging main office and Quonset hut — the project will add classrooms, administrative areas and storage while leading to modest tax increases. Registered voters must return ballots by May 6 as they also vote on a new trustee and a high school levy. Daily Inter Lake

- ➤ The Montana Department of Transportation announced that they will begin patching US 2 near Glacier Park International Airport from April 28 to May 1 — traffic will be limited to one lane at times and speeds reduced to 35 mph. MontanaRightNow
- ➤ On Thursday, the Flathead County Library Board signaled plans to tweak its land deal near Kalispell Center Mall—lowering the offer to $2.9M from a counteroffer of $3M and dropping a fee requirement. The library system will close the deal in September and must break ground within 36 months to complete construction by 2033 as negotiations continue. Daily Inter Lake
