- ➤ Walker Hayes will headline the fair concert at the Flathead County Fairgrounds — opening the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo on Wed., Aug. 12. The performance will kick off a multi-day event featuring rides, exhibits, and family activities. Daily Inter Lake
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Nobel laureate Fred Ramsdell will speak at Flathead Valley Community College on May 9 at 6 p.m. about his 2025 Nobel Prize-winning research on immune system responses at a free event in the Wachholz College Center. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ Adult women are invited to attend the Region 1 Beyond BOW program at Lone Pine State Park from Friday, May 29 through Saturday, May 30 and will participate in workshops on backpacking, fly fishing, archery, eco-exploration and wilderness readiness for ($45). Daily Inter Lake
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Flathead National Forest received 1,088 comments on its draft Comprehensive River Management Plan for the three forks of the Flathead River to balance recreational use and fishery protection.
