- ➤ Glacier High School's French program earned the highest honor from the American Association of Teachers of French on April 13 due to strong enrollment and dedicated instruction, making it the only public school to be rated Exemplary with Distinction + it showcases expanding language opportunities. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Flathead National Forest closed the Blankenship Bridge area for public safety due to high water levels on the Flathead River until June 27 at 6 p.m. Officials urge visitors to avoid the area to protect themselves and emergency responders. KPAX
- ➤ Last week, Flathead Land Trust bought a 1,131-acre parcel south of Herron Park to create a continuous corridor — it is partnering with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and Foys to Blacktail Trails to set a conservation easement and will hold a May 1 event at Foys Community Center.
