ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Emergency crews responded to an explosion at the Weyerhaeuser MDF plant in Columbia Falls before 8 a.m. Saturday along Mills Drive; no injuries are reported and the cause remains under investigation. KPAX

- ➤ Marge Dodge’s art (rescued by her grandson Chris LaRoche) is on display at the Glacier Art Museum until June 6. The exhibit A Life in Studio shows 70 works that trace her evolution since arriving in Montana in 1954. Daily Inter Lake

- ➤ The Whitefish School Board voted on Wednesday to appoint Lisa Bloom as interim superintendent for the 2026-2027 school year + her term begins July 1 while a new search for a permanent leader is planned. Flathead Beacon
- ➤ Self-guided tours at Bibler Home and Gardens will support FVCC student scholarships; tickets go on sale Wednesday, Apr. 15 at 9 a.m. Tours run from May 6-9 for spring beauty, May 9 for tribal weavings, and in July and Aug. for summer evenings. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ Christy Bortz will take over as superintendent and principal at Cayuse Prairie on July 1 after beginning onboarding with retiring Amy Piazzola in June (the school board approved a two-year contract with a yearly salary of $93,500).
