- ➤ The Columbia Falls Community Market launches its April aluminum recycling campaign to celebrate Earth Month and invites community members to drop off aluminum cans at 165 Veteran Drive — processed by Coram resident Ryan Ellis. A $3,000 Weyerhaeuser grant supports local nonprofits with these sustainable efforts. KPAX
- ➤ A federal judge halted a 9,000-acre logging project near Whitefish after ruling that the Forest Service misapplied habitat protections for lynx. The project covers 2,827 acres for noncommercial and 6,324 acres for commercial treatments and may resume if corrections are made. Daily Inter Lake
