Volunteers of America Northern Rockies moved into a new, larger office on 1st Avenue West to expand veteran outreach in Kalispell — the facility aims to help with housing, employment, and other support services.

After transportation challenges and teacher departures earlier this school year, West Glacier Elementary School is planning a three year strategy that includes reimbursing parents for transfers, renting vans for field trips, fundraising to buy new vans that seat 15, and recruiting new teachers.

West Glacier ended its winter with the warmest season in over 75 years—recording an average daily temperature 6.6 degrees above normal and setting eight high-temperature records.

Kalispell had its fourth-warmest winter ever, with temperatures 5.7 degrees above normal and below-average snowfall.

Flathead County commissioners will debate renewing the lease for Bigfork’s Everit L.

Sliter Memorial Park, where maintenance and event planning may change if not renewed. The Flathead County Weed/Parks & Recreation Board will meet Monday, Apr. 6 at 311 FFA Drive in Kalispell to discuss the matter.
