- ➤ The Flathead County Board of Adjustment held a public hearing Tuesday in Kalispell to discuss a proposed prerelease center on East Oregon Street near Evergreen—many local residents opposed the settlement offer from the Department of Corrections, and a final vote is scheduled for April 1. The proposed facility would serve as a transition home for 90 males and is part of the state's correctional program. KPAX
- ➤ On March 24, Kalispell City Council did not hire a dedicated code enforcement officer because councilors were reluctant to raise the city budget despite warnings that enforcement was weak — councilors instead proposed tracking complaints and amending ordinances to better manage municipal code violations — leaving enforcement spread across several departments.
