- ➤ A new Amazon distribution center is coming to Kalispell and is under construction on the south side near Highway 93 and United Drive — the facility has received a building permit and marks the first development on the Gardner/Anderson Ranch plot — it will be Amazon's fourth Montana location and expand local access to its services. - ➤ Levi Thomas Hiebert, 36, was arrested on March 16 after a remote camera captured him unlawfully entering a home and near a dirt bike reported stolen out of Bigfork—he is expected to be arraigned on a felony burglary charge and a misdemeanor theft count on April 3—. Daily Inter Lake

- ➤ Montana farmers were worried that tariffs imposed in early March hurt trade with Canada and China for a $1.2 billion part of the state’s economy. - ➤ On March 24, the Montana House narrowly voted down a bill that would have imposed tougher penalties on employers hiring immigrants illegally— a measure sponsored by Rep. Lukas Schubert that lawmakers warned could hurt local businesses with steep fines and license revocations. - ➤ A public hearing is held today at 6 p.m. at 40 11th Street West, Suite 200, as the Flathead County Board of Adjustment reviews a settlement offer from the Montana Department of Corrections after it sued the board for denying a permit for a proposed prerelease center near the Kalispell-Evergreen border—this offer requires a 10-day notice before moving an offender and the board will vote on it on April 1.
