Good morning, Kalispell.

Craig Naylor is a 70-year-old Aikido teacher at the Embodied Movement Center off U.S. 2 west in Kalispell who shows students self-defense moves that stress nonviolence.

He earned his fifth-level black belt after training with a Japan-based group and now also composes music and writes novels.

A settlement agreement in a lawsuit over the proposed prerelease center at Greenwood Village Inn and Suites will be reviewed by the Flathead County Board—a public hearing is scheduled for March 25 and a vote will take place on April 1.

The agreement updates the original decision by marking the site as suitable and setting conditions for traffic and prior offender notification.

Today at 7 p.m., the Kalispell City Council meets at City Hall to discuss hiring code enforcement personnel to manage zoning, sidewalks, and community decay—officials noted that the city has no dedicated staff, a change prompted by recent fire code amendments following problems at the former Outlaw Inn property.
