EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cayuse Prairie School in Kalispell is asking voters to pass a $300,000 general fund levy—the first since 2005—to avoid cutting essential programs such as horticulture and title aides. Approval would help hire extra aides and support staff pay to keep the school competitive. KPAX
- ➤ Flathead County school districts will hold levy elections on May 5 to fund building expansion and support operating costs amid shifting enrollments. Voters in Helena Flat, Fair-Mont-Egan, Deer Park and Cayuse Prairie will receive mailed ballots to decide on measures including a building reserve levy and various general fund levies. - ➤ Bigfork School District Superintendent Tom Stack warned that the district will face cuts in 2027-28 due to enrollment decline from Covid changes.
