- ➤ Montana humor will be the topic at a meeting hosted by Northwest Montana Westerners at 7 p.m. Monday, Mar. 16 at the Northwest Montana History Museum at 124 2nd Ave. East in Kalispell — tickets cost $5 for the general public, with members and youths under 16 admitted free. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ The Montana Historical Society has launched Montana Madness, a bracket-style contest featuring 16 historic sites selected from its new book (A History of Montana in 101 Places) that Montanans vote on online. - ➤ Flathead Valley Community College has retained a consulting firm to lead its search for a new president as Jane Karas will retire Dec. 31. The board also approved maintenance projects including roof and HVAC upgrades for the original campus buildings. Daily Inter Lake
- ➤ Flathead Valley Community College’s board chose ACCT Searches to lead its hunt for a new president after longtime President Jane Karas will leave on Dec. 31 + the board made the decision Monday from a group of five firms and will share details of the search process soon. Flathead Beacon
- ➤ Writing Coaches of Montana seeks community volunteers to help local public school students improve their writing skills across Flathead County. Training will be held on Friday, Apr. 10 (10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) at the Kalispell Public Library. Daily Inter Lake
