- ➤ The My Montana Wedding Expo took place Jan. 10 in Kalispell, drawing hundreds of couples with 62 vendors and featuring the rare Adena A-Frame tent from Barn Door Event Rentals. Attendees learned about the latest wedding trends through vendor showcases. KPAX
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Evergreen Schools’ Lunch With Students program lets teachers share meals with students to support mental health and strengthen classroom bonds. The initiative (funded by a grant from the Montana Community Foundation) has helped educators build stronger connections since August. Flathead Beacon
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Earlier this month, Doug and Carolyn Kohrs worked with Flathead Land Trust to create a 110-acre conservation easement along the Stillwater River west of Whitefish that secures a vital wildlife corridor and connects to larger protected areas while keeping the land open for agriculture. - ➤ December storms brought heavy snowfall to high mountain areas, with the Flathead Basin snowpack reaching 109% of normal and the Kootenai’s reaching 107% while lower elevations saw less accumulation due to warmer temperatures.
